CLASSES & DIVISIONS Windsurfer One Design Open Fleet - Race with former Olympians and world champs, and sailors from every state in Oz. No gear problems, just fun. Close, tactical racing. Weight divisions, age divisions and a women’s division to make sailing fair for everyone. Now there’s no reason not to join. Junior one - Show your kids the fun Junior One sailing is all about learning and fun for sailors aged 15 and under, The kids use Windsurfer One Designs or Classics or similar approved boards* and an approved sail of 4.5m or less, to put the emphasis on skill rather than strength or weight. Restricted coaching is encouraged. There’s a special class and smaller sails for the younger kids. Junior One class sails in the morning, so parents and the best kids can race with the main fleet later in the day. Cruising Class The cruising class is for those that don’t want to race but would like to come along to just join in the fun and enjoy some great cruising. While there will be no competition in this class, prizes will be awarded for sailors with great enthusiasm and skill improvement across the long weekend. Where Soldiers Point & Salamander Bay, Port Stephens - the perfect combination of regatta site and family holiday destination. The Port is 119 square kilometres of clear water, fair winds, white sand, dolphins, and sea turtles.
