2009 Oceanic Raceboard Championships

It’s all about fun, friends, competitive racing, great blasting and cruising. Catch up with your fellow Raceboarders and check out some of the new equipment that will be on show. The event will also include a Championships Party as well. If you are not into racing bring along your long board of any variety and get out on the water in the cruising class.

APPLICABLE CLASSES & DIVISIONS
The event will include the following classes and divisions. Please see the relevant class rules and the sailing instructions for further details. Notice of Race details.

Raceboard Class

The Raceboard Class will include the following divisions in the Oceanic Championships:

- Open Class
- Raceboard 9.5
- Raceboard 7.5
- Female
- Youth Male
- Youth female
- Overall Champion
- Silver fleet
- Masters / Grand Master

Please note that in accordance with the International Raceboard Class rules that if you choose to sail in the open division with a sail bigger than 9.5 m2 you will not be eligible for the Oceanic Championships but will still be in contention for the Open division within the National championships.

Cruising Class
The cruising class is for those that don’t want to race but would like to come along to just join in the fun and enjoy some great cruising. While there will be no competition in this class, prizes will be awarded for sailors with great enthusiasm and skill improvement across the long weekend.
