Day 01 2009 Raceboard Oceanics

Martin Thearle leads after a light wind day.
Day 01 Oceanic Windsurfing Raceboard Championships witnessed a gentle 5 - 10 knots with a 40+ turnout. The summer seabreeze didn't appear, leaving us with a light E-SE that died during the arvo, so only one race was completed. Martin Thearle on his Phantom 380 from Dobroyd Aquatic Club, Sydney, won the only race of the day narrowly edging out local Russell Jones (Open) 2nd following Mike Hockley 3rd in the overal placings. Kate Middleton scored her first victory in the Junior fleet earlier in the day, finishing ahead of Josh Nealy and Lauren Nealy. It was great to catch up with old friends and discuss all the new gear in peoples quivers. See more detailed results on the Illawarra Yacht Club website.

Martin leads after a light wind day

Only one race today with a SE wind that started off quite promising but backed away to nothing by the end of the day.

Martin Thearle mastered the light winds and weedy conditions to claim victory ahead of local favourite Russ Jones.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
